About the Artist: While he currently lives and works from the capital of India, Delhi, artist Anwar was born in Ambha, Madhya Pradesh. He grinds his own pigments to make the pastel colors that he layers his canvases with. With these layers, sometimes he weaves and at other times he paints.
Some awards that artist Anwar has received include the All India Kalidas exhibition, Bharat Bhavan Scholarship, Government of India Senior Fellowship, and National Award by Lalit Kala Akademi.
