Are these men or women

who embrace each other

their arms forming a cradle?

with one hand raised above to divinity

their bodies and souls conjoined

in mad, ecstatic dance

colours swirling, bodies

swirling— dress robes and hair—

whirling whirling twirling

until the sexual becomes sacred.
