Born: 1960, West Bengal, India
Swapan Bhandary, born in 1960 in West Bengal, is a distinguished painter known for his vibrant and dynamic style. He graduated with first-class honors from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan, where he also earned a merit scholarship. Over his career, Swapan has exhibited alongside legendary artists such as Pablo Picasso, M.F. Husain, and F.N. Souza, earning recognition for his unique artistic voice.
His works have been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions both in India and internationally, with paintings featured in prestigious collections including the National Gallery of Modern Art and Lalit Kala Academy. Swapan has received awards from respected institutions like the Bombay Art Society and Rajasthan Lalit Kala Academy. His art has also been published on prominent platforms such as the cover of the UK’s Time & Leisure magazine.
