Painting Style & Artistic Practice
Jin Sook blends East Asian aesthetics with contemporary abstraction, drawing on Taoist and Zen sensibilities. She uses spontaneous brushwork, natural pigments, and simple lines to evoke rhythm and meditative calm.
Her hallmark “strip technique” involves cutting painted surfaces into thin strips and reassembling them—sometimes upright—creating dynamic textures, shifting depths, and sculptural surfaces.
